CRASH

Music by LISA WHITSON BURNS
Words by CHRISTOPHER STASKEL

Crash is a 10-minute contemporary Greek tragedy that chronicles the downfall of Russ, a reclusive writer who descends into his computer (with the help of the GeekFleet Technical Service Helpline) to save his files after he spills coffee on the keyboard. Inside, however, he encounters personifications of his photos, iTunes, and Word documents who convince Russ to stay with them forever, "crashing for eternity."

Crash was produced as part of the 2011 West Village Musical Theatre Festival (directed by Joshua Chase Gold; musical direction by Rona Siddiqui).
